I'm also playing with
Mapex snares. In the studio, I own a steel snare Black Panther in maple. The sound is pure and very rich. The steel snare,
Mapex Black Panther, is made for professionals and are available in various materials such as wood, metal, brass or bronze.
For the cymbals, I'm using
Sabian. The company is offering cymbals for all music styles. I'm actually playing with a melange of AA, AAX, HH, HHX and B8 Pro which give me a great versatility.

B-14" AAX Stage Hat

For the skins, I trust the company
Evans which provide a complete variety of skins and more options related to the sounding. For my own, the
G Plus Clear (1 ply
) for my toms gives me a great versatility and response. For the bass drum, I chose a
Emad
(Externally Mounted Adjustable Damping) with an inner circle which gives me lot of grips and an incredible
increase of low frequencies.
For the steel snare, I'm using the G2 with 2 plies. It provides more durability and as a more open and crisp sound.
I highly recommand the skins
Evans!
I'm playing with
Vic Firth drum sticks and
I like using various models. Most of the time, I'm using the drum sticks
SD-2 (made in maple).
To play jazz, I appreciate the « american Classic!». As for ballets, I prefer using the signatures «
Steve Gadd »,
they possess a small angle which gives a better support on the skin.
The drum sticks
Vic Firth offer durability, fiability and a feeling out of the common!
